I grew up in a tiny town in the Ozark mountains of Missouri. As a young age I enjoyed copying other drawings and photos, but my favorite thing to do was play school and be the teacher. I designed and created my own school books and literature for our play times. At that time I thought God had called me to be a teacher. When I was sixteen I decided to pick drawing back up again. I surprised my family and myself with a strong ability to draw with value and form. At age seventeen I headed off to college to get my degree in Commercial Art. During those four years I strove for excellence in my art classes. It was NOT easy! This past year I graduated and am excited to see how the Lord will build my talents over the next two years. I am constantly learning and growing with each new work of art. I never see perfection in my pieces or maybe great aesthetic qualities, but I do see the areas where I learned and grew as an artist.
